Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded entirely live to a two-track tape machine, the former Pixies frontman delivered an incredibly raw, spontaneous alternative rock album[cite: 1]. 'Pistolero' deliberately eschews studio polish, capturing the immediate, highly unvarnished energy of Frank Black and his backing band tearing through a set of ragged, guitar-heavy rock songs[cite: 1].
