Album Notes & Community Reviews

Originally released in 2016 exclusively as a streaming visual project to fulfill contractual obligations to Def Jam, this highly ambient, fragmented R&B masterpiece finally saw a remastered physical release in 2018. The record operates as a sprawling, dreamlike collage of ethereal synthesizers, lo-fi interludes, and Ocean's gorgeous vocal runs. It acts as the esoteric, highly experimental counterpart to its more structured sister album, 'Blonde'.
