Album Notes & Community Reviews

Attempting to modernize his repertoire for a rapidly changing audience, the legendary crooner tackles material by contemporary folk and pop songwriters like Joni Mitchell and Jimmy Webb. 'Cycles' surrounds Sinatra's slightly weathered, highly expressive phrasing with lush, sometimes melancholy orchestral arrangements by Don Costa. The introspective album successfully bridges the generational divide without sacrificing the singer's quintessential cool.
