Album Notes & Community Reviews

Marking his debut on a new label after a period of career decline, 'Songs for Young Lovers' was instrumental in redefining Frank Sinatra as a mature, sophisticated vocalist. Arranged by Nelson Riddle, the 10-inch LP format allowed for a cohesive, thematic listening experience that foreshadowed the golden age of concept albums. The lush, swinging orchestrations provided the perfect backdrop for his newly weathered, expressive baritone.
