Album Notes & Community Reviews

Originally issued as a set of four 78 rpm records, this release marks one of the earliest examples of a conceptual pop album. Arranger Axel Stordahl provided intimate string orchestrations that perfectly complemented the vocalist's pioneering microphone techniques. The romantic mood established a blueprint for the modern traditional pop vocal record.
