Lumpy Gravy

Originally intended as an orchestral commission but heavily delayed and re-edited, Frank Zappa's solo debut is a wildly complex, totally bizarre exercise in tape splicing. 'Lumpy Gravy' is fiercely avant-garde and remarkably chaotic, smashing beautifully lush, modern classical orchestral segments against highly surreal, deeply humorous spoken word and eclectic musique concrète.
