Album Notes & Community Reviews

On 'End Time', the Kentucky-based duo Freakwater delivered an incredibly stark, deeply traditional interpretation of alternative country. The entirely acoustic album relies almost exclusively on Catherine Irwin and Janet Beveridge Bean's remarkable, unvarnished vocal harmonies and deeply sorrowful, Appalachian-inspired songwriting.
