Album Notes & Community Reviews

Arranged by Wayne Shorter, this session places Freddie Hubbard's trumpet in the context of both a driving big band and a lush string orchestra. The record shifts between dense, brass-heavy ensemble passages and sweeping, romantic ballads that emphasize Hubbard's lyrical phrasing.
