Album Notes & Community Reviews

Serving as the definitive Scottish indie-rock breakup album of its era, Scott Hutchison's songwriting is painfully naked, exploring themes of sexual regret, severe depression, and emotional self-immolation. Despite the agonizing lyrical content, the music is incredibly anthemic and vital, driven by stomping rhythms, soaring guitars, and Scottish folk-pop sensibilities. It garnered widespread critical acclaim and fostered a deeply devoted, passionate cult following.
