Emerging from the booming Texas heavy music scene, the quintet delivered a phenomenally heavy, unapologetically old-school debut explicitly heavily referencing the classic 1990s Bolt Thrower sound. The entire record is deeply themed around frost, blizzards, and freezing to death, prioritizing mid-tempo, crushing grooves and cavernous gutturals over blistering technicality. It was widely championed as an immensely fun, incredibly solid modern execution of traditional death metal.
