Album Notes & Community Reviews
'Gigantoid' finds the veteran Californian stoner rock pioneers operating their own independent label to release one of the heaviest records of their later career. The album slightly turns down their signature sunny, skate-punk pacing in favor of monolithic, heavily fuzzed-out doom riffs and sci-fi influenced lyrical concepts. It is a satisfyingly massive, riff-worshipping return to form that pleased longtime followers.
