Album Notes & Community Reviews

Formed by guitar virtuoso Ronnie Montrose following the dissolution of his eponymous band, '1' injects modern synthesizer textures into muscular hard rock. The crisp, futuristic production aimed squarely at the evolving AOR radio landscape while retaining fiery, technically demanding solo work. It stands as an overlooked but highly effective bridge between heavy seventies boogie and eighties arena rock.
