Album Notes & Community Reviews
The Ronnie Montrose-led hard rock outfit significantly modernized their sound for their final studio album before disbanding. '3' heavily features the soaring synthesizer work of Mitchell Froom alongside Montrose's signature heavy riffing, resulting in a highly polished, commercially oriented AOR sound. The record represents the peak of their attempts to conquer the early 1980s radio landscape.
