Album Notes & Community Reviews

Abandoning his famous icy, robotic persona, the synthesizer pioneer fully embraced the dense, funk-driven rhythms of the Minneapolis sound for this late-eighties effort. The production is incredibly lush and dance-oriented, featuring aggressive funk guitar and prominent female backing vocals. Known as 'New Anger' in North America, it represented a significant, aggressive stylistic reinvention.
