Album Notes & Community Reviews

'Cross Off Matthew' is the first solo album in over a decade by New Jersey emcee and producer GDP, following 2013's 'Holla' and his 2025 collaborative return 'ENDOCRINE' with Fatboi Sharif, who guests on 'Undone'. Entirely self-produced across twelve tracks, it applies the punk and hardcore ethos of his New Jersey roots to neo boom bap, with caustic guitars and distortion running through cuts such as 'Island In The Sky' and 'Location Therapy'. Its lyrics examine vice, relationships and the dread of late-stage capitalism, closing with 'Doom Loop', a reckoning with his own motivations for making music.
