Hi Fidelity Jam Session

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Overseen by producer Bob Weinstock, this exceptionally robust, informal blowing session gathers an elite cadre of East Coast studio heavyweights. The massive, deeply resonant tenor saxophone tone of the leader absolutely dominates the extended, deeply grooving blues vamps, engaging in fierce, highly competitive dialogues with fellow soloists. The relaxed, late-night club atmosphere perfectly encapsulates the gritty, unrelenting energy of the mid-century hard bop movement.
