Album Notes & Community Reviews

The former Byrds drummer's solo debut offers a deeply pastoral, highly melodic interpretation of the era's flourishing roots-rock movement. Featuring virtuosic string contributions from Clarence White and Vassar Clements, the acoustic-heavy arrangements bridge traditional bluegrass textures with a gentle, singer-songwriter ethos. The recording stands as an understated, beautifully crafted gem of early 1970s California country-rock.
