Album Notes & Community Reviews

Formed by Dave Wakeling and Ranking Roger following the dissolution of The English Beat, the group delivered a slick, infectious debut with '...All the Rage'. The album polishes their ska roots with prominent new wave synths and robust pop-rock production, yielding the massive international hit 'Tenderness'. It perfectly encapsulates the mid-eighties shift from 2 Tone revivalism to mainstream alternative pop.
