Album Notes & Community Reviews
Showcasing the fiery tenor saxophonist in a slightly more restrained, European-produced setting, 'Sound Suggestions' features an all-star lineup including Kenny Wheeler and Richard Beirach. The compositions strike a delicate balance between aggressive post-bop angularity and the spacious, atmospheric aesthetic typical of its production house. The session captures a fascinating interplay between intense American jazz traditions and cool, modern European sensibilities.
