Album Notes & Community Reviews

Captured intimately, this raw, unpolished recording serves as a vital historical document of authentic Gulf Coast jazz veterans. The rough-hewn, highly emotional clarinet playing and collective ensemble polyphony starkly contrast with the commercial slickness of contemporary big bands.
