Othello Ballet Suite / Electronic Organ Sonata No. 1

Album Notes & Community Reviews

This intensely challenging release compiles two radically different avant-garde compositions from the legendary jazz theorist. The first side features a sweeping, highly dissonant orchestral suite recorded in Scandinavia, while the second side presents a fiercely abrasive, unaccompanied electronic organ exploration. It serves as a formidable, uncompromising demonstration of his Lydian Chromatic Concept pushed to its most abstract extremes.
