Album Notes & Community Reviews

Establishing his signature traditionalist sound against the prevailing country-pop trends of the era, 'Strait From the Heart' catapulted its creator to stardom. The project yielded several milestone singles, including 'Fool Hearted Memory', which became his first number-one hit on the country charts. Its stripped-back instrumentation and earnest delivery helped revitalize the honky-tonk tradition for modern audiences.
