This posthumous collection showcases the radical microtonal techniques of Italian composer Giacinto Scelsi. Centered around sustained pitches and continuous micro-oscillations in timbre and dynamics, the compositions—most notably the monumental 'Uaxuctum'—abandon traditional melodic and rhythmic progression to explore the sonic interiority of single notes.
