Album Notes & Community Reviews

Blending studio cuts with scorching live performances from Boston, this album presents Scott-Heron's politically urgent, proto-rap spoken word poetry layered over thick, incredibly tight jazz-funk grooves. The electric concert atmosphere perfectly amplifies his incisive social critiques and deeply soulful vocal deliveries.
