Album Notes & Community Reviews

Gil Scott-Heron and Brian Jackson collaborated to create one of the most vital, socially conscious soul records of the 1970s. 'Winter in America' is a profoundly melancholic, beautifully mellow progressive soul masterpiece, driven by fiercely political poetry, wonderfully passionate vocal performances, and uplifting jazz-funk rhythms.
