Album Notes & Community Reviews
Famous primarily as the original vocalist of the Northern Soul anthem 'Tainted Love', Jones released this stunning, heavily orchestrated soul album during her tenure at Motown. Showcasing her remarkably powerful, emotionally raw vocal range, the record perfectly balances gritty, funk-inflected grooves with incredibly lush, cinematic ballads. It is celebrated as a highly sophisticated, deeply underrated masterpiece of 1970s R&B production.
