Album Notes & Community Reviews

Emerging from the San Francisco underground, the band delivered a deeply hypnotic and somber sophomore effort heavily indebted to Joy Division. 'Closely Watched Trains' is driven by tribal tom-tom patterns and intricate, web-like guitar arpeggios that support Eric Cope's monotone, existential vocals. The album remains a deeply revered hidden gem of the American post-punk movement.
