Album Notes & Community Reviews
Fusing authentic 90s-inspired boom-bap beats with sharp, intelligent street commentary, 'Retrogenesis' represents a cross-continental collaborative album from American rap veteran Godfather Don and French producer Parental. Released via Akrom茅galie Records, the fourteen-track record relies on dusty, soulful loops, warm jazz samples, and a classic head-nod groove. It stands as a definitive, conscious hip-hop statement that prioritizes real-world lyricism and cultural integrity.
