1000hp

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Returning after an extended hiatus, '1000hp' leans heavily into the band's gritty, high-octane hard rock roots. Frontman Sully Erna sought to capture a rawer, punk-inflected energy, steering the group slightly away from the moody post-grunge that defined their earlier career. The title track, celebrating the band's Boston origins, helped propel the album to a massive debut on the Billboard 200.
