Album Notes & Community Reviews

The remarkable debut from the Manchester-based piano trio instantly established their signature, highly rhythmic approach to contemporary jazz. Utilizing a completely acoustic setup, the band remarkably emulates the skittering breakbeats and pulsing basslines of modern electronic dance music, perfectly interwoven with classical piano minimalism and soaring post-rock crescendos. The album's innovative fusion earned them immediate critical acclaim and positioned them at the vanguard of the modern British jazz renaissance.
