Album Notes & Community Reviews

Resurrected by Luc Lemay with a new lineup, Gorguts returned with 'Colored Sands', a sophisticated concept album about Tibetan history and culture. The music retains the band's signature dissonance but incorporates classical composition techniques and string quartet passages. It is a dense, intellectual, and atmospheric masterpiece that pushed technical death metal into the realm of high art.
