Album Notes & Community Reviews

Bolstered by production from legendary hip-hop and pop architect Rick Rubin, the major-label debut of the Arkansas-born dance-punk trio is a massive, polished commercial breakthrough. The record brilliantly smooths their chaotic indie-rock origins into stadium-ready disco-punk anthems, prominently featuring Beth Ditto's powerhouse, soulful vocal delivery and fierce LGBTQ+ lyricism. The album became a massive international hit, particularly across Europe.
