Album Notes & Community Reviews

Released remarkably close to his acclaimed debut, the British songwriter's sophomore effort further refines his impassioned blend of tough pub rock and rhythm and blues. Produced by Robert John 'Mutt' Lange, the record boasts a slightly crisper sound that highlights the tight, brass-augmented backing of The Rumour. It solidified his reputation as a biting, soulful lyricist just ahead of the new wave explosion.
