Album Notes & Community Reviews
The debut from the Portland instrumental ensemble immediately distinguished itself from contemporary post-rock via its profound integration of Eastern melodies and acoustic textures. Mournful violin and delicate piano interplay weave a deeply cinematic, almost archaic atmosphere.
