Album Notes & Community Reviews
Recorded at the Clich茅 Lounge in Newark, New Jersey, this set represents a massive pivot in Green's career from traditional hard bop to deeply infectious jazz-funk. Driven heavily by Idris Muhammad's drum breaks, Green's fiercely repetitive, single-note guitar lines create an irresistibly uplifting, groove-heavy atmosphere.
