Album Notes & Community Reviews
Recorded in 1964 but shelved for three years, this remarkably relaxed session highlights the guitarist's fluid, single-note phrasing in a laid-back, modal context. Accompanied by a stellar lineup featuring Bobby Hutcherson on vibraphone and Larry Young on Hammond organ, the group creates an incredibly warm, floating groove. It stands as a sublime, atmospheric highlight of the Blue Note mid-60s catalog.
