Album Notes & Community Reviews
Utilizing an organ trio format featuring Larry Young and Elvin Jones, Grant Green applies his fluid, single-note guitar lines to a set of modal and post-bop compositions. Young's advanced harmonic choices on the Hammond B-3 push the group beyond standard soul-jazz into more exploratory, complex improvisation.
