Album Notes & Community Reviews
Emerging from a brief performing hiatus, the Grateful Dead delivered one of their most musically intricate, surprisingly jazz-oriented studio statements. 'Blues for Allah' is an incredibly complex, highly progressive psychedelic rock album, weaving wonderfully surreal, intensely hypnotic instrumental jams and wildly shifting time signatures into deeply cohesive, suite-like structures.
