Album Notes & Community Reviews

Considered by many "Deadheads" to be their absolute zenith, this famous 1970 Valentine's Day run captures the band flawlessly transitioning from their chaotic psychedelic roots into the mellow, folk-inflected beauty of 'Workingman's Dead'. The staggeringly beautiful thirty-minute sequence of 'Dark Star' remains one of the most revered improvisations in their massive live vault.
