Produced by Lowell George of Little Feat, 'Shakedown Street' saw the legendary jam band attempting to incorporate contemporary, radio-friendly disco and funk grooves. While the commercial sheen heavily divided critical opinion upon release, several tracks eventually became enduring staples of their live sets.
