Second Birth

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Transitioning slightly away from the flute-driven heavy prog of their earlier efforts, the British quartet delivered a more robust, hard-rocking collection on their third album. Driven by J.D. Hughes' gritty vocals and aggressive guitar interplay, the compositions remain structurally complex but favor immediate, driving energy over pastoral acoustic wanderings. It stands as a solid, energetic entry in the second tier of 1970s British progressive bands.
