Album Notes & Community Reviews

Bursting out of the Chicago independent circuit, the trio delivered a hyper-energetic, hook-laden celebration of sixties pop sensibilities. 'Elaine MacKenzie' is crammed with chiming Rickenbacker guitars, frantic tempos, and pristine, Beatles-esque vocal harmonies. The album remains a deeply beloved, albeit cult-status, treasure of the American power pop revival.
