Dixieland

Album Notes & Community Reviews

The debut album from the Michigan rock band merges the heavy, melancholic crawl of slowcore with massive, fuzzed-out shoegaze guitars. The dual vocal approach contrasts lethargic, introspective singing with harsh shrieks, creating a dark and uniquely spiritual atmosphere. The incredibly melodic yet overwhelmingly dense release laid the groundwork for the modern doomgaze movement.
