Album Notes & Community Reviews
The veteran folk troubadour delivers a profound, darkly humorous reflection on aging and rural American life. 'Covenant' pairs Brown's resonant, gravelly baritone with sparse acoustic guitar picking and subtle blues-rock instrumentation. Praised for its deeply narrative lyricism, the record secured the Association for Independent Music's award for Best Contemporary Folk Album.
