Album Notes & Community Reviews

Rising from the highly competitive San Francisco Bay Area, this debut album leans heavily into the melodic, epic traditions of traditional heavy metal rather than the region's famous thrash sound. 'Flight of the Griffin' features soaring, high-register vocals and intricate, galloping twin-guitar harmonies. Though overshadowed commercially by their faster, more aggressive regional peers, the record remains a highly respected cult classic of American power metal.
