Album Notes & Community Reviews
Grimes' sophomore album is a gothic, ethereal exploration of layered vocals and murky synths. 'Halfaxa' is less pop-oriented than her later work, focusing on atmosphere and medieval melody. It is a strange, mystical record that established her unique aesthetic.
