An incredibly avant-garde release on the Wergo label, the debut from this collective defies categorization by blending free-form folk improvisation, field recordings of nature, and austere, modern-classical structures. The music feels deeply meditative, utilizing droning instruments and non-Western rhythmic influences to create a surreal, tribal atmosphere that predates much of the later ambient-folk and environmental-music movements. It is an essential, highly unconventional artifact of the Krautrock period.
