Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recording between Berlin, Veracruz, and Mexico City during the pandemic quarantine, 'Let's Talk About the Weather' is a powerful collaborative album from German electronic pioneer Gudrun Gut and Guatemalan cellist Mabe Fratti. The record centers on the weather as an everyday metaphor for uncertainty, blending field recordings, taut electronic rhythms, and ambient pads. The exchange of sound files resulted in a highly cohesive and healing dialogue characterized by spoken-word poetry and haunted vocal melodies.
