The Ensemble Project Ars Nova presents a pristine, historically authentic performance of Guillaume de Machaut's sprawling 14th-century poetic narrative. The recording masterfully captures the complex, polyphonic beauty and courtly love themes inherent to the French Ars nova tradition.
