Album Notes & Community Reviews
This debut record earned a Mercury Prize nomination for its wildly eclectic and optimistic approach to pop arrangements. The band incorporates Brazilian percussion, string sections, and found sounds into their sprawling compositions. It stands out in the 2000s British indie landscape for its unapologetic romanticism and theatricality.
